[solved] No activation link from test instance try.gitea.io

Hello,

I wanted to try gitea out before making a VM with my own copy. I created an account and waited for the activation link. Clicked to send it again after a few hours, and again, but the email never came. Tried a different email (gmail account) but with the same result - no activation link, not even in spam. When creating an account to post on this forum I provided the same email as during the first registration and the email arrived (to spam, but I got it).

Am I doing something wrong? Couldn’t find any instructions how to work with the test instance…

Sadly the email provider for try.gitea.io was having issues around this time, and so not all activation emails went out. However I recently cleared all inactive accounts and I guess yours was one of them as it seems you were able to sign up again.
