I have been running a gitea site for a few years now and our users have been authenticating against Office365/Outlook’s SMTP server as our organisational email is hosted there
(smtp.office365.com). However our IT has recently forced us to enable Multi Factor Authentication with Office365 and now the logins don’t work anymore.
I have changed all the users to local users as a workaround but I thought I would just check if there is no way to authenticate to a remote SMTP Server with MFA enabled?
