Hey Folks,

I’ve a bunch of private git repos to import into my shiny new gitea instance.

There doesn’t appear to be any documentation covering that functionality. The only documentation I can find (in the official FAQ) doesn’t mention the inbuilt migration functionality and instead recommends a separate tool…

anyone know anything about this? recommendations?

You can migrate one by one on the UI. If you want to batch migrate, you have to write a script via gitea’s API.

thanks @lunny but what I really want to know is not just how to do it but what it does (and doesn’t) do, and how to test/confirm that the migration is successfull…

There is no documentation reference to this functionality AT ALL.
