10 months of uptime now on the $5 debian vps on Vultr. As before, the following metrics are provided following a Delete all unactivated accounts operation as I’m not using CAPTCHA yet:
The Gitea database holds 62 users, 3 organizations, 3 public keys, 149 repositories, 152 watches, 11 stars, 20158 actions, 65 accesses, 238 issues, 1099 comments, 0 social accounts, 3 follows, 85 mirrors, 4190 releases, 1 authentication sources, 0 webhooks, 8 milestones, 81 labels, 0 hook tasks, 3 teams, 0 update tasks, 87 attachments.
That’s 9M+ requests GitHub never saw.
My takeaway from 10+ months hosting Gitea on Vultr under Docker is that the Docker Overlay FS is greedy and so I’m planning to switch to a Lightsail instance after the Vultr box kicks the bucket. I’ve written a blog post for those who want to try Lightsail to get the extra storage space Amazon provides at the same cost as Vultr and without need for upsell storage add-ons.
