I don’t know if you know “Keybase”. They have a built-in Git service, but it’s very limited as their UI is terrible. However, it is a safe and little-known service. It would be interesting if Gitea could integrate its GUI to manage Git repositories in Keybase.
The good part about this is that Keybase is accessible from anywhere in the world with no infrastructure required. I could run Gitea ephemerally anywhere, be it Docker or whatever. And simply give permission to use Keybase.
Just a theoretical suggestion.
